Draugr: The Haunted Trail
The Foreigner

Haunted Trail is a legacy event for the Housing department of UIS.

Where:
The woods over by the soccer field on the east side of campus. Fire pits will be lit up as a beacon for students to find their way.

When:
Starts at 10pm on Thursday, October 28th and goes till midnight.

Student volunteers are needed in zombie make-up.

No cost, no donations, admission to ALL -- this is a social event to benefit everyone.

Improv Night

Zombiewalk
Here is a volunteer opportunity for those theatre buffs wanting to show off for Halloween, and still do good for the community in the process!
"Zombiewalk" will take place on October 23rd that starts at 5pm and goes until 8pm in Washington Park. The proceeds will go to benefit "brains" related charities, The Epilepsy Center of Springfield, and United Cerebral Palsy. The Biology Club is going to help out with being walk guides, judging contests, taking donations, etc., but they’re looking for theatre students who would like to get involved. Interested students could set up a makeup booth and charge people to get ‘zombified’ (approved by the event… charge whatever you like!) help with guides, judge games, or just participate in the walk for charity.
Interested volunteers would have to be there at 4pm to set up. The walk around Washington Park takes about 45 minutes, and there will be separate routes for children to take (shorter route, with less scary adult themed zombies around). There will be a costume contest as well as a few games after the walk. Students 21+ who would like to take part can also participate in the adult zombie only pub crawl starting at 9pm at "Bar None", where all zombies get in for free.
