A weekend full of relaxing, paddle boating, napping, eating smores, learning more about your new friends and hearing a guest speaker teach us and challenge us to learn more about Jesus.

We will serve breakfast to around 200 hundred homeless and low income
families in downtown Springfield.

10-11 Ozark Outdoors Riverfront Resort
Canoe Trip
We are traveling a few hours to the the Meramec, Courtois & Huzzah Rivers in Missouri. We will camp out on Friday and wake up for a day on the water on Saturday. Cost is $50 and there are 32 spots available. Check out the resorts website at www.ozarkoutdoors.net.
OCTOBER 31 Halloween Party and Reverse Trick or Treating
This year CSF is going to do Halloween a little different. Pull out the tackiest item from your closest or bust into your hidden stash of glitter and construction paper to make an amazing Halloween costume. If you can't come up with a good idea on your own find someone and goes as a pair. After the Edge on Halloween we will bless the campus with lots of candy. Instead of going around with our buckets empty we will fill the stomachs of college students with goodies. Bring candy to the Edge or the CSF office before Friday, October 24 to help make we can make goodie bags.
NOVEMBER 17-21 Hunger and Homelessness Week at UIS
Tuesday, November 18: OxFam Banquet, 4:00PM to 5:30PM in the LRH Great Room. This event is a dinner and presentation about homelessness and hunger here in the US and Worldwide. Guests will be placed in a class (lower, middle or upper) and this will determine their meal and seating.
Wednesday, November 19: Kenya Walk Through Exhibit, 10:00AM to 10:00PM in the PAC Lobby. CSF is reconstructing a Kenyan Hut, a replica of one you would find in the slums of Nairobi. Guests will be able to walk through the hut and picture gallery. Volunteers are needed to man the exhibit. Email uiscsf@gmail.com if you are interested.
Friday, November 21: CSF is switching up the Edge. We will eat a meal of rice and beans, similar to what Kenyans eat on a everyday basis. We will talk about what Jesus said about hunger and homelessness. Don't go home for Thanksgiving break to early!
