What's going on in our Chapter?

Falling Forward

Earlier in the year Active Minds members were asked to submit various titles for the journal we aim to publish by Fall 2005 midterms. Falling Forward was the name selected by an online vote.

We are collecting writings from UIS and LLCC students that pertain to mental health issues. So far our project is going well and we are off to a tremendous start! Active Minds wants to hear your stories – your struggles, triumphs, and everything in-between. Please send your stories to activeminds@uis.edu

Because of the sensitivity of this topic we understand the need for anonymity so if this is a factor and email does not feel secure enough to you please send your writings to our Student Sponsor: Dr. Larry Livingston at Mail Stop BRK 332.

Involvement Expo 2005

Active Minds plans on entering The Involvement Expo, which is held each semester. It provides student organizations and campus departments the opportunity to showcase their interests and goals. This year’s event will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23rd and will provide an exciting opportunity to for new students to learn what the UIS campus offers.
