Here on campus, there are a few kids who play hacky sack ALL THE TIME. Seriously - nearly every time I see them, they are playing that crazy game. Not that I don't like it; actually I think it is quite awesome. I mean, just check it out^^^ Crazy kids. (Those guys up there aren't the UIS students; our hacky sackers are way cooler)

But, I'm just jealous... I suck at hacky sack. I can hacky for about as long as Kyle Simpson can go without abuse. Not long.



I guess I just don't "Hack it."

AH! Ha!! Haha!! Ho-Ho! He he...




So anyway, these kids (mostly freshmen) that I always see playing were in the Great Room the other night, and somehow, they got their hacky sack stuck in the rafters. Ridiculus.

Heres a photo of the rafters, with the hacky sack ball gellin' like a fellon.


Now, after a little thought and some Capital Scholar ingenuity, a plan was devised to get back the hacky.

Get a big pole and prod it till it falls.

And so, they fought long and hard to save the hacky. It was rough - it was stressful.

There were fights, there was courage, there were tears shed. And hope was never lost.

The pressure those guys and gals work under is amazing.




About ten minutes later the hacky fell. I helped them put away the big pole. Another day, another adventure in Lincoln Residence Hall.
