So...you're stressed...miterms are coming up...
And you're here....a student at the University of Illinois at Springfield..

it's almost time....

For you to walk these halls...and head to the dreaded classrooms...and yes...TAKE THE HORRIBLE MIDTERM!!!!!!!

Check out these stressed out students, Mike and Savannah.
But until that time comes...some of you students are probably wondering..."where can I go to study? My dorm room/apartment/townhouse just ain't cuttin' it!"
Well for you students that live in the Lincoln Residence Hall..the classic place to study besides your room is...ta da*, the LOUNGE!

And if you just want to get out of the Residence Hall...walk on over to the University Hall Building!
University Hall has a great Computer Lab where you can study in between classes
UHB 3050 (And Cat works there, and she's awesome!)

Or you can study in the open lobby area of the 2nd floor in University Hall (UHB)

As you can see...in between classes, students come here all the time to cram for that quiz they have in 15 minutes...
And some just....goof around....(*cough*taylor*cough*)

Our next building is the Health and Science Building:

When you walk through the main doors...we come upon a lovely lounge for students to sit about and have study groups! This is a great location for you science majors!

My absolute favorite place to study is in Brookens Library!

Brookens' Hours:

The reason I love Brookens so much is because...it's this crazy library..where there are no right angles...and there's so many nooks and crannies to pick for you to study in!!!
I'll just showcase a number of places I go when I visit dear old Brookens Library:

And if you're hardcore about studying...the best place I recommend is...dun dun dun..THE GROUP STUDY ROOM!! There is one on every floor of Brookens Library except for the 5th floor...

*dramatic angle of the door*
It looks like a tiny room...and it pretty much is...but I've gotten so much work done in these rooms. Great for group work as well!

Another place in Brookens is the Media Lab on the very first floor:

they have all kinds of computers/resources and the archives are located in this area as well...

And these next set of pictures..are just cool pics I took while walking around Brookens:
the abandoned classroom on the 5th floor..

Brookens is just..sweet.

This plant goes from the 4th floor all the way to the first pretty much...

Robert heading up to use one of Brookens' many resources!

the 5th floor again..

So maybe libraries aren't your friends...and you want a more neutral study area...
PUBLIC AFFAIRS CENTER (PAC)

So I love the PAC at night...this a view from the 4th floor...

A nice quiet study area (it may be a little echo-ey at times) is the Atrium Lounge:
(located on the 3rd floor)

And if ya need to take a break in between all that studying...check out the Capitol Perks! And grab yourself some coffee and just "chillax."

Finally.....
"GOOD LUCK ON ALL YOUR MIDTERMS THIS SEMESTER!!! YOU"LL DO GREAT!!! STUDY HARD, RELAX, and before you know it..it'll be SPRING BREAK!!!!!!"
Have a great night everyone!

PS. Here's Mosaic again...except..UNCUT version..actually it's a rehearsal video...enjoy! :) just listen...we don't have it faced on us..cuz...that's how we roll. :)

*Liz that is such a funny post you studying nerd :D and those hardcore study rooms are where I'm going to spend my first few days back on campus after break :'( I miss you.
Hey! I didn't know you were a blogger, that's awesome :). Speaking of awesome, the library is definitely awesome. I've pretty much been living there for the past few weeks, so I recognize a lot of the spots in those pictures... my favorite spot is definitely on the first floor, though, in that little reading area past the washroom. It's kinda way back behind everything, so it's really quiet.
