mase

im not sure if ive mentioned this to you guys before or not anyway im the youngest girl in my family, which made it that much harder for me when i went again. I'm also daddy's little girl...anyway last time that i went home my dad gave me some mase spray which i havent needed to use but today i was bored so i was playing with it...and lets just say it didnt end well, i got some on my hand i didnt know ...atleast not until i touched my lip and my tongue and lip swelled up and burned really bad...not a good idea to say the least it lasted for about 30 minutes. ouch, it just makes me wonder what would happen if someone did get it in their eye, but i for one dont want to find out. If you guys find out let me know!

Visits home

this weekend was the first weekend home since labor day which was when me and my sister went home together. It felt like I had just visited my sister at ISU not like I had actually gone away to school. Yet this weekend I came home by myself and it hit me that I was indeed away at school. It’s weird to think about going away to school, not only do you not have a room that you can call your own but things change a lot. For example this weekend when I came home my parents acted like I saw them act when my sister would go home, they would go out of their way to please her and make her visit one that she would remember which it always was. Weekends home are always memorable especially at my house, they are never spent just relaxing, they are chaotic and very eventful, but in a very good way. Since being away at school I randy realized why I enjoy being away at school, its because everything is up to me, I can either do my homework and study or not but in the end its up to me, ive become more and more independent. Its been great going away to school. This weekend I spent with close friends and family. i left Thursday nite and I stayed at my sisters dorm for the night and then I left for my train at 7am. The earliest Ive been up since I moved to Springfield. What an adventure. My train was late getting to Chicago union station so I had to wait 45 minutes till the next train heading to my hometown…aka Libertyville. Even though Ive taken that train before I have to admit union station freaks me out. AHHHHHHHHHH anyway now that I got that out of my system, I got home and my mom made me lunch and then by the time lunch was over. We then went shopping for things I did not necessarily needed but definitely wanted. Later that night, I went out with one of my very good friends back home. After we hung out for a while I went home and tried to do some hw but I was not very effective at it so I gave up and went to bed. Saturday morning I woke up just in time for breakfast then my mother and I went to run errands and then we headed to my brothers football game. He won for the first time so I was glad I was able to see it. After going to the game, we headed straight to the apple orchard since my mom had planned for our family to go apple picking with our church. I was exhausted but after picking apples I showered and decided to go out with tom one last time before I had to go back to school…Overall this visit was very good, different but good. I didn’t expect my parents to act differently just because I was away at school but they did. I guess that’s expected though so whateve……till next time.

Hello hello
So as a freshman I decided to room in Lincoln residence hall just because I wanted to be constantly be surrounded by people and as a freshman I figured I was more likely to get involved and participate in more activities if I were in Lincoln residence hall so here I am today. Since move in day ive known I made the right decision…not only did I get a really great match but it seems like im surrounded by a great variety of people. Ive met tons of people that I would not have had I gone somewhere else or randy roomed in the townhouses. I can honestly say there is rarely a dull moment. There is always something happening somewhere. When so many people room in a building such as Lincoln residence hall there is no way possible for nothing to be going on… for example say your roommate wants to go to bed early…typical scenario in college hahaha jk..u can either just to the lounge if you want to watch a movie or study or you can also go to 3 cent which is where we have a pool table a big screen and a ping pong..aka the hang out spot. The new residence hall should be good but anyway back to the point of this post… I had been talking to Matt and Dustin when all of a sudden this fellow resident for the sake of this story lets call him TRACY got Dustin’s attention by calling out to us how he had lost his pants hahahah so what did we do? We looked at Tracy and his pants were in deed lost but no worries I found them at his ankles. Hahhahha Tracy is hilarious…but so is dustin he said Tracy if I see your dingaling im gonna get you back as soon as you find your pants…..what a random Night that was. Id like to say that living in the dorms was the best move I could have made when deciding to go to UIS. More crazy stories to follow
