I’m Braxton Denton, a junior transfer from Kaskaskia Community College. My life goal is to be elected to the Unites States Senate to shake up the political status quo and to transform middle class life to a more rewarding and less painful way of life for the masses. I’ve been: Vice- President of Leadership (1yr), College Chapter President (1yr), and candidate for International President of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Student Congress Representative (1yr), Speech Team Member (1Yr), in addition I was the President of my high school Student Council as well (1yr). I’ve dedicated a portion of my daily life to service for others in the latter five years of my life. I would like to keep the service opportunities going by serving as Transfer Senator here at UIS. Under my Administration of Phi Theta Kappa at Kaskaskia College, the group went from two state awards to seven state awards and four International Awards in my one-year term. Our officer team worked very hard and I allowed no lax behavior at meetings. My prior experience will be the foundation which I will use to advance SGA and the student body. I would sincerely appreciate your vote on Sept. 17th & 18th.
