A good day to go green

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Today is a good holiday for me. I don't think I have much Irish blood in me, but on St. Patrick's Day, everyone gets to be Irish. When I was a little kid, I loved St. Patty's Day for one reason--the food!!! For breakfast, my dad would always make us green eggs & ham. Usually my sister would be so grossed out she couldn't eat them though! :) Then we'd all go off to school or work and my mom would make us amazing corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots. And it's always SO GOOD!!! I'm pretty upset because tonight I have a botany test (which is bad enough on the first day back from break) so I only get some re-heated corned beef.

I also was thinking today about how in gradeschool we had parties for everything...including St. Patrick's Day. Everyone would wear green and we'd get to eat green cookies and play games and stuff. Someone should institute holiday parties in college. I miss them!! :)
